You Heard it Here First

…or maybe you didn’t. In all fairness, I needed Facebook to tell me that I’d been published, so we’re both working at a disadvantage.

Jeff VanderMeer (responsible for every fungus-speckled cobblestone in the city of Ambergris) and his wife Ann (editor of Weird Tales) selected my micro-submission to feature in The Thackery T. Lambshead Cabinet of Curiosities (July 2011 from HarperCollins). In the latter pages of the anthology, once you’ve read through the stories themselves, you’ll find an appendix of briefly-described artifacts found cluttered about in Dr. Lambshead’s strange cabinet, including my piece: MUCH SMALLER CABINET.

Make sure to read on for fellow Stonecoaster Adam Mills’ excellent contribution: BEAR GUN.

This will be the first time my name or writing have seen print. I could not have hoped for better company in the anthology, which includes some of my personal heroes of the literary world: Michael Moorcock, China Mieville, Garth Nix (!!!), Ekaterina Sedia and Cherie Priest. The honor of sharing binding with any single one of them (even if it’s just a paragraph) is inexpressible.
